Digital Cinema Productions

One of the considerations in making feature films has been the constraint of technology and the fact that larger studios have privileged access to equipment and the latest camera systems - making it all but impossible to compete, but much has changed over the past few years and Emerging Artist Productions plans to challenge that ideal with our dedication to digital filmmaking.

New digital cinema cameras* that can capture imagery equal to a traditional 35mm frame of film have leveled the playing field.  That, combined with the reasonable costs and the ability to use the same lenses that are used on studio films, make it possible to shoot a 4k version of a film, at significantly higher quality than current high definition standards of 720 and 1080.  With more and more films being screened digitally at your local theater, the challenge of independent film is no longer finding an art house theater, but finding ways to increase exposure, explore guerilla marketing techniques and making our films available to a larger and larger audience.

Moving forward, all of Emerging Artist Production's feature film projects will be exclusively produced as digital cinema projects, using the next generation 2k and 4k digital cinema cameras like the Red One Camera.

From Wikipedia:
*The Red One was announced in 2006 and released in 2007 as the first camera produced by Red Digital Cinema Camera Company. It has a 12 megapixel bayer pattern CMOS sensor, called the Mysterium. The sensor measures 24.4 mm by 13.7 mm, and has 4520 by 2540 active pixels, though the camera only records data from a 4096 by 2304 pixel area in normal operation. The Mysterium sensor has about the same active area as a 35mm film frame masked to the 16:9 aspect ratio, allowing the same depth of field to be produced in conjunction with lenses designed for 35mm film.

Motion Titles & Graphic Design

Another area of our work includes the design and creation of motion graphic from still images or logos, sometimes creating all of the elements needed.  Here are samples by our in house designer Joel H Hinojosa.
